Lane Young has lived in the state of Georgia all of her life with the exception of four years at Grinnell College in Iowa. She organized and hosted the monthly poetry readings at Callanwolde Fine Arts Center in Atlanta for over a decade. She is married to poet Stephen Windham. They currently live in Athens, Georgia.

Her poems have appeared in 360 Degrees, Potpourri, Lilliput Review, Mobius, The Sierra Nevada Review, Cover Magazine, The Journal of Poetry Therapy, bluemilk, Postal Meters, The Blue Mountain Review, The Flagpole, and Java Monkey Speaks, An Anthology: Volume I among other publications. She has privately printed four chapbooks: Difficult Desires, Found Objects, The Failed Cynic, and Scattered Type: Old and New Poems.
